Irving Penn (1917-2009)

One of the greatest photographers the world will ever know has passed away at the age of 92. Irving Penn was best known for his commercial work and fine art photography which helped shape almost every aspect of modern advertising photography used today. He was one of the greatest portrait photographers the world has ever seen, his mastery of photography is revered the same way the creations of Da Vinci and the masters of the renascence are admired. His portrait of artist Pablo Picasso above is considered to be one of the greatest works of art from the past century.
